Taking Advantage of Low Inventory in Chicago

 In Real Estate

According to numbers being reported from RE/MAX Northern Illinois, the amount of time Chicagoland homes have spent on the market is the lowest it has been in the past 10 years. Lower inventory means a boost in pricing for sellers and lower times on the market. For sellers this is a great thing. In Chicagoland inventory dipped 7.8 percent in August 2017 from August 2016. So even if you haven’t been considering selling your home, maybe now is the time.

The truth is, there are buyers looking for homes no matter what season it is. This can be due to job relocation, monetary reasons and a numerous list of factors. Knowing that the inventory in Chicago is low right now is a good reason to consider listing your home while the market is still in this state.

So if you are looking for a home in North Center, Lake View, Lincoln Park or Bucktown, maybe now is the time to get your current home on the market and get into one of these great areas of the city.
